The semi-annual Fort Gordon Technology Expo is scheduled Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Gordon Conference and Catering Center. Roughly 25 exhibitors will provide information and demonstrations displaying the latest in technology ranging from communications and cyber to everything in-between. According to Megan Williams, event manager for the Federal Events Division of National Conference Services, Inc., the purpose of the expo is to give Fort Gordon personnel an opportunity to find and discuss technological solutions with industry leaders while networking. “Many members of the armed forces are not able to travel extensively to meet with various vendors to explore opportunities for new solutions and connections, so the expo provides them with a chance to do this at their very own post,” Williams said. DIA welcomed more than 500 industry partners June 24-25, 2014 at its Washington, D.C., headquarters for the 2nd Annual DIA Innovation Symposium. The event provided an opportunity for members of industry to hear from DIA’s senior leaders about current business practices, challenges and innovation efforts. The first Innovation Day was held in 2013. This year the event was expanded to two days with more than 20 senior leaders presenting and 150 industry partners, both large and small, exhibiting and demonstrating their capabilities.
