The 2015 USAFRICOM Partnership Forum and Partner Solutions Showcase hosted by USAFRICOM J9 on 9-11 June 2015 in Stuttgart, Germany successfully brought together over 391 attendees to discuss USAFRICOM’s mission and requirements. This year’s theme was “Improving African National Resiliency thought Public Private Partnering.”

The chance to network continued to Thursday at the Partner Solutions Showcase where over 90 Industry Exhibits were setup in a tent, on-site at Kelley Barracks. This was also an opportunity for Industry Partners to demonstrate their latest and greatest products and services at the showcase. The morning was kicked-off with opening remarks presented by Gen Rodriguez followed by a Networking Breakfast hosted by Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VDEP). More than 450 attendees were able to engage with Industry Partners and learn first-hand about the newest technologies related to USAFRICOM’s mission.

The APF was an opportunity for USAFRICOM organizations, partner agencies and component commands, as well as others in the Stuttgart Area Military Community to gain an understanding of NFE points of view and visibility of their capabilities. USAFRICOM leadership created the APF to serve as a conversational venue between DoD and a diverse set of NFE representatives about specific areas of concern on the African Continent. The APF agenda includes complex regional and trans-African issues that can’t be solved by a purely military approach and require a cooperative engagement strategy.

“Our goal for this event is to facilitate an exchange of idea, generate innovative solutions, and foster new working relationship to help further our respective missions.”
– General David M. Rodriguez, Commander, U.S. Africa Command
