EXHIBITOR INFORMATION
Special Operations Command – Africa (SOCAF) annually hosts the Flintlock Exercise. This exercise began in 2005 and has grown in significance, relevance, and importance to USAFRICOM year after year. This year, Flintlock is looking to add industry demonstrations for their VIPs and DVs to close out their exercise.
The event will be taking place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Africa on April 29-30, 2026.
Flintlock is USAFRICOM’s largest special forces exercise. The Flintlock Exercise works to strengthen the ability of key partner nations in the region to counter violent extremist organizations, collaborate across borders, and provide security for their people.
USAFRICOM SOCAF is seeking vendors to participate in a tech expo during the senior leaders summit portion of the exercise, taking place on April 29th. For exhibitors who have larger demos, or would like to showcase satellites, drones, antennas, or other tactical technologies, there will be an opportunity for you to be a part of the live outdoor demos on April 30th as well. DOING BUSINESS
Familiarize yourself with the country’s embassy Office of Defense Cooperation and AFRICOM’s FMS program. The U.S. Department of Defense’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program facilitates sales of U.S. arms, defense equipment, defense services, and military training to foreign governments. These are the major avenues from which these nations can acquire new technologies. Exhibitors are welcome to collect contact information of the participants, but be mindful they do not have purchasing power. They will work via their embassy to procure equipment.
Attendees will expect companies to address how they can meet current capability gaps, they are looking to be educated on your solutions. Brush up on the current environment on the continent, understand their processes/problems, and explain how your solution meets those needs.
POWER
Abidjan, Ivory Coast, primarily uses Types C and E electrical outlets, which are the standard, two-round-pin European style. The voltage is 230V at a 50Hz frequency; please ensure your devices are appropriately rated.
