The event will be taking place in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, Africa on April 29-30, 2026. Additional information regarding the exercise hotel will be announced shortly.


AIRPORT

Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport (ABJ), also known as Port Bouët Airport, is the main international gateway to Abidjan, Ivory Coast, located 16 km (10 miles) southeast of the city.


COTE D’IVOIRE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Visa: Required for U.S. citizens. You can apply for an e-visa through the SNEDAI GROUPE official website. It is highly recommended to obtain the e-visa before travel, as a printed copy is required for boarding.

Passport: Must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the arrival date, with at least one blank page.

Vaccinations: An international certificate of vaccination for yellow fever is required for all travelers over 9 months of age.

Supporting Documents: You may need to provide proof of accommodation (hotel reservation or invitation letter) and a return ticket.

Duration: E-visas typically allow for stays of up to 30 days.


HEALTH & SAFETY

The following diseases are prevalent:

  • Diarrhea illness
  • HIV/AIDS
  • Malaria
  • Meningococcal Disease

  • Tuberculosis
  • Yellow Fever
  • Dengue

Vaccinations: Be up-to-date on all vaccinations recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Medications: You are advised to bring diarrhea medicine (i.e., Imodium, Pepto-Bismol), antihistamine, mild laxative, pain/fever medicine, hand sanitizer, water purification tablets, bed net, insect repellent, and sunscreen.

Water Quality: Although tap water is potable in Côte d’Ivoire, we recommend drinking only bottled water. Bottled water and drinks are safe. But many restaurants and hotels serve tap water. They do this unless you ask for bottled water. Be aware that ice for drinks may be made using tap water.

CURRENCY

Abidjan, the economic capital of Ivory Coast (CĂ´te d’Ivoire), uses the West African CFA franc (ISO code: XOF). The hotel venue and most major facilities accept debit/credit cards. Currency exchange is available at the airport, or local currency can be withdrawn from ATMs in Abidjan.
