The nation's dependency on space has only grown over time. Our potential adversaries have operationalized space to enable attacks on our terrestrial operations and to deny joint and combined forces the services from space that they depend on (DAF Operational Imperative #1). This panel will address how we need to protect our space capabilities, protect the services that we provide from space to our joint forces, and defeat the other side's space capabilities, which try to do the same thing for their forces.

Mr. Christopher Ristich, SES
Director, AFRL Integrated Capabilities Directorate

The Multi-Domain Operations concept began as a joint U.S. Army and Marine Corps white paper in October 2016. Today the DAF needs to operate in a multi-domain environment with capabilities on land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace. This panel will discuss how M&S can combine all aspects of the expanded battlefield of time, the domains of land, air, sea, space and cyberspaces, electronic warfare and information to train and equip the future warfighter.
